PADV Announces 2020 Hearts with Hope Gala Chair
ATLANTA - January 6, 2020 - Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), Georgia's largest non-profit working to end the crime of intimate partner violence and empower its survivors, is proud to announce that Pallavi Gor, District Sales Manager for ADP Global Enterprise Solutions, will be its 32nd annual Hearts with Hope Gala chair. The Hearts with Hope Gala will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at the InterContinental Hotel in Buckhead, with more than 500 corporate and community leaders expected to attend.
"It is an incredible honor to serve as the 2020 Hearts with Hope Gala chair. I am committed to reaching the fundraising goal in support of the lifesaving work of PADV," said Gor. "Having grown up in a home where domestic violence was an everyday occurrence, I recognize how crucial it is that PADV raises the funds needed to enhance and expand the programs and services that provide hope and security for women, children and men affected by domestic violence. Our donors save lives."
Gor's first-hand experience with the crisis, volunteer work as a member of the PADV Executive Board, and leadership in the community, makes her an ideal person to lead as Gala chair. She hand-picked a committee of passionate volunteers to secure sponsors and auction items, invite gracious attendees and assist in selecting honorees.
At the formal event, PADV will celebrate the success of survivors who bravely rebuild their lives. One survivor will be awarded PADV's Purple Heart Award, paying tribute to the empowerment, courage and determination she used to transform her life.
"We are excited for next year's event and Pallavi has been fantastic and driven as chair," says Nancy Friauf, President and CEO – PADV. "I believe Pallavi's experience with PADV, having served on multiple committees and currently on the board of directors, along with her desire to help survivors of domestic violence will help us reach our goals of impacting more lives at no financial burden to our clients and bringing greater awareness to our mission and work."
Gor is a graduate of Saint Francis College in Hyderabad, India, and earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from Huron University. Born in India, she moved to the United States to pursue her graduate degree and later moved to Atlanta, which has been her home for over 20 years.
