That’s why PADV constantly strives to end dating violence through outreach and prevention education that promotes healthy relationships. \nPADV’s 12th Annual Teen Summit is an excellent opportunity for teens and adults to learn about the various components of dating violence. Attendees will learn about healthy relationships\, learn more about themselves\, learn to set healthy boundaries and find courage in being themselves. Teens\, parents\, and any youth-serving adult are welcome to attend. Registration is free\, but space is limited. \nAt this year’s Teen Summit\, we will have the following breakout sessions from local agencies presenting on these important topics: \n\nThe Power of Masculinity\nImpacts of Unhealthy Relationships on Mental Health\nAddressing Sexual Assault\nSelf Defense\nHealthy Relationships\nRed Flags of Teen Dating Violence\nSimulator Experience of Healthy vs. Unhealthy Relationships\n\n\nFUND THE MISSION DONATIONS\nThough there is no cost to attend PADV’s Teen Summit\, there is a cost to produce it.  Your 100% tax-deductible donation will help us reach as many youth as possible to prevent dating violence.  Donate today!

DESCRIPTION:Check-in/Light Refreshments | 6:00pm\nProgram/Candle Lighting | 6:30pm\nThe Intercontinental Buckhead – Garden | Directions \n(This is an outdoor event)\n\nFirst observed in October 1981 as a national “Day of Unity\,” Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) is held every October as a way to unite advocates across the nation in their efforts to end domestic violence. \nThe Candlelight Vigil is a time of sadness\, mourning\, celebration and hope. We are sad these lives were taken far too early\, we mourn the beautiful spirits that are no longer with us\, and we celebrate the joy and love these victims brought to our world. We maintain our strong hope and determination that through our work and commitment\, we WILL one day end the crime of domestic violence. \nOn October 27th\, we will gather together to light a candle for each life lost. \nAlthough we may never know every name\, we come together to mourn all of the lives lost to domestic violence. \n
