Fulton Shelter Capital Campaign

Fulton Shelter: A Haven for Survivors

Fifty years ago, PADV began with just one bed and one phone, a single act of hope that sparked a movement to end domestic violence in Georgia. We were founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to end the cycle of domestic violence and provide survivors with safety, support, and hope for a better future. Since then, we have grown into Georgia’s largest and most comprehensive domestic violence agency, providing emergency shelter, legal advocacy, prevention education, and life-saving support to thousands of survivors each year.

As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we have reached another milestone: the opening of our new Fulton shelter, which doubles our available beds and expands programming to serve even more survivors in need. The shelter will serve up to 72 survivors at a time and has space for our crisis hotline, counseling center, computer-workforce training lab, indoor playroom, and outdoor play yard. The 14,000 sq ft one-story building rests on a wooded 3.5-acre property, offering security, safety, and a tranquil place for healing.

Thank you to everyone who generously supported this transformative campaign. We exceeded our $6 million goal, raising the needed funds for the acquisition and renovation of the shelter and to increase our program capacity. Your support is helping us build a future of hope and healing.

Stay tuned for updates once renovations are complete.
