CLIENT AND DONOR PRIVACY POLICY

Partnership Against Domestic Violence, (PADV) is committed to protecting the privacy of its clients and donors.  In light of that commitment, PADV is pleased to provide information to all of its valued supporters about its client and donor privacy policy.

 

Information Collected 

Here are the types of donor information that PADV collects and maintains:

  • Contact information: name, organization, complete address, phone number, email address;
  • Payment information: credit card number and expiration date, and billing information;
  • Information concerning how you heard about PADV;
  • Information you voluntarily share with us such as questions, comments, and suggestions.

 

Client/Donor Information Usage 

With your permission, we will use personal information collected to:

  • Process transaction payment
  • To send information, such as PADV updates, fund-raising campaigns or major initiatives.(If you do not elect to receive such materials, we will not send them to you.)
  • Credit card information is only stored if the donor chooses the “reoccurring gift” option.

 

Security of Client/Donor Information

Client/Donor information is stored within a secure management database located onsite at PADV’s administrative offices.   Access to the database is restricted to personnel with a legitimate PADV need to access or modify the information contained therein.

 

Sharing of Personal Information

Companies may be engaged by PADV to perform a variety of functions. Such companies may have access to personal information if needed to perform certain functions. However, these companies may use such personal information only for the purpose of performing that function and may not use it for any other purpose.

 

Other than as provided in this privacy policy, PADV does not sell, transfer or disclose personal information to third parties.

PADV reserves the right to use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request, to protect the integrity of our organization, to fulfill your requests, or to cooperate in any law enforcement investigation or an investigation on a public safety matter.

 

Access

You are in control of all personal information you provide to us.  If at any time you would like to correct the personal information we have about you or if you would like to change your preferences for contacts from us, you can let us know by contacting us at the postal address listed below. In order to review any personal information we have about you or to ask us to delete that information or to stop further use of the information, please contact us through the address listed below.  If you would like to unsubscribe from our email list, please use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our newsletter emails or contact us through the postal address listed below.  It may take up to two weeks to remove you from our email list.  Please be advised that this means that if an e-newsletter is in production at the time you ask to be removed from the list, you may receive this e-newsletter prior to us completing the processing of your request to have your name removed from the email list.

 

Changes to our Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy became effective on November 17, 2017. From time to time, it may be necessary for PADV to change its privacy policy, so we suggest that you check here periodically for any updates.  Rest assured that any changes will not be retroactively applied and will not alter how we handle previously collected information.

 

Additional Policies

 

The PADV Website Privacy Policy, which applies to information collected on PADV.org, may apply in addition to the terms of this Donor Privacy Policy.
